[뇌-마음-행동 연계전공 세미나] Spatiotemporal Minds

서울대학교 뇌-마음-행동 연계전공에서 주최하는 세미나를 안내드립니다.
이번 세미나에서는 서울대학교 뇌인지과학과의 이상아 교수님이 Spatiotemporal Minds라는 제목으로 강연을 해주실 예정입니다.
시공간을 탐색할 수 있는 동물의 고등 인지 기능은 삶에서 굉장히 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이번 세미나에서는 뇌인지과학과의 교수님이 인간과 동물의 시공간 정보처리가 뇌에서 어떤 과정을 통해 이루어지는 지, 그리고 어떻게 하여 한명의 신경과학자가 되셨는지를 말씀해주실 예정입니다.

Mentally traveling through space and time takes up a significant part of our daily lives and is a signature of higher-level cognition. In this talk, I will first present evidence that this ability may be rooted in evolutionarily ancient hippocampal navigation mechanisms that we share with other animals and then argue that the same system further provides a framework for representing abstract conceptual space.
